The story is immeasurably better than Academy, even if neither story is particularly incredible. I'll focus this review mainly on comparing them since they are of roughly similar quality, but have some interesting differences. As soon as I discovered that my dwarfs were going from minor-health problems to flesh-rot, I had to lock all doors to contain the damn mess and make sure everything is nice and dead before I started a cleanup procedure.13h PlayedIn the position of having played Jedi Academy many years before this one, it was fairly interesting going back and playing this. Additionally, a handful of my dwarfs also contracted the syndrome from working on or around the infected dwarfs, and they slowly bled out or suffocated in their own fluids as their own skin rotted away as well. ![]() It took my entire army to bring down, and in the end, every one of them died due to blood loss via rampant infection, as their skin, followed by every organ, rotted off from the combination of the syndrome + infection. And by the rest of his life, I mean the time it took me to build an atom smasher in his room.Īnother time, which better showed how gruesome the game can be, I had a forgotten beast with a syndrome attack my fortress. He spent the rest of his life canceling a clean-self job since I had soap available. I had a guy lose both his hands to a forgotten beast. So an aware player would simply back up or jump, and be out of range, and then kill you when the move was recovering. The particular move you're referring to, for reference, also was slow to start and finish, and rendered you immobile. The saber system in the game has all sorts of interesting quirks, and in play, the various little exploits that were discovered by players got names spinning(first above), poking(second), and wiggling(sort of a mixture of the two). Similarly, if you can keep your saber inside someone longer in the base game, you'll continue to do more damage, so looking away from the direction of your attack to keep it stuck there immobile in midair for a moment(The attack animation goes left say, you look right at the same speed of movement to make the saber effectively not move much.), can deal higher damage too. So you hit harder by looking into the direction of your attack. Yep, damage and blocking in the base games are influenced by the speed of mouse movement as well. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors. ![]() Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban. ![]() Please report posts containing spoilers unless they are hidden using the following method or are inside a thread clearly labeled as containing spoilers.
